The Sarasota Bay Foundation is committed to protecting our most valuable resource, Sarasota Bay. We provide outreach, education on climate change, resilient shorelines and funding for projects that utilize a natural approach to shoreline protection.

The Sarasota Bay Foundation, in collaboration with Sarasota County's NEST program, Florida Sea Grant, the Indian Beach/Sapphire Shores Greenspace Committee, Solutions to Avoid Red Tide and many others, just completed our first living shoreline project at Indian Beach Park. The most recent red tide had devastating effects on our marine life and bay water quality. You can help minimize the damaging effects of red tide and other algal blooms within your own back yard, home, and community. Here are 15 things you can do:
